Preparation is key! Here’s a checklist to help you get everything ready for a smooth local move.
The day before your move is often filled with last-minute tasks. To ensure everything goes according to plan, here’s a checklist of things to do to prepare your home for the big day:
Confirm Details with Your Moving Company: Double-check the time, location, and any special instructions for the movers.
Pack an Essentials Box: Pack a box with things you’ll need right away, like toiletries, a change of clothes, and important documents.
Clear Pathways: Make sure all hallways and walkways are clear to help the movers do their job efficiently.
Disassemble Furniture: We always recommend to leave the furniture for us since we have the right tools and knowledge to disassemble but if you want to save time have them ready and attach all of the screws and parts together. Note that we won’t be able to assemble anything that you assembled
Take Inventory: Make a list of everything you’re moving so you can ensure everything arrives at your new home and always double check the moving company truck physically.
